History and Bible teacher, Carlton Payne was recently diagnosed with cancer. He had been feeling ill for some time and now has a diagnosis. This news comes on the heels of his father’s death, last summer. Mr. Payne is only 24 years old and is in his second-year teaching at TCS. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy for his cancer.
This news has come as a shock to us. We care deeply for Carlton and long for his complete and full recovery. We know that he trusts Christ. We also know that this significant trial will be used by God to fulfill His purposes and for Carlton’s ultimate good (Romans 8:28).
We desire to rally around Carlton and show our care and support of him by meeting a practical need. There is a significant cost to his ongoing medical treatment. We want to help offset some of that cost. We have set up a fund to raise money for his ongoing medical expenses. You can donate in one of two ways:
1. You can donate online via the fundraiser link:
(Please note: the "tip snowball fundraising" option on the page is not required and does not benefit Carlton or TCS. A tip applied here goes directly to the application creator)
2. You can drop off cash or check at the TCS office (with Carlton Payne in the subject line).
We ask that you prayerfully consider contributing to this cause. No amount is too small! We hope that we can be a blessing to Carlton as he fights cancer.
Thank you in advance for your sacrificial support and prayers!
