6th ANNUAL 5K, FUN RUN & CARNIVAL
On Saturday, April 13, 2024, TCS will host its 6th Annual TCS 5K, Fun Run and Carnival here at TCS for our students (PreK-12th grade), families, staff and community. We will kick off the event at 9:00 am with a 5K in the neighborhood surrounding TCS, plus a shorter Fun Run (approximately 1 mile around the school) for our little runners*.
Those interested in the timed walk/run around the neighborhood should select the 5K when registering. The shorter route will not be timed. The run/walk will be followed up by a carnival on the school grounds from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. The carnival will include games, vendors, food and more. The 5K will be professionally timed again this year by Blue Ridge Timing via chipped bibs with medals for the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group (Under 13, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+) plus the top male and female finisher overall. We will utilize a wave start for the 5K again this year to eliminate any large clusters of walkers/runners on any given area of the 5K route. This wave start will not impact the timing of individual runners. A runners “clock” does not start until they cross the starting line and ends once they cross the finish line. Run times will be announced once all runners have completed the course and times have been verified. Each walker/runner registered by March 28, 2024 will receive an official 2024 TCS 5K, Fun Run and Carnival T-shirt!
FUNDRAISING GOAL
Our fundraising goal for this year’s event is $70,000. Students will be encouraged to work towards a goal of $100 per student in sponsorships for their run/walk. Every penny earned during this event will go towards the school's current building fund.

Timberlake Christian School is hosting its sixth annual 5K, Fun Run and Carnival on April 13th, 2024.
This is a public event that will include school staff, students and their families. The community is also welcome. We will kick off the event at 9:00 am with a professionally timed 5K run* with awards given to the top 3 male and female runners/walkers in each age group plus the TOP runner. We will also have a shorter Fun Run for the little runners**. The run will be followed by a three hour carnival, on school grounds, from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. The carnival will include games, food and more. Age Groups: Under 13, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+. *We will utilize a staggered (wave) start with approximately 25 individuals per "start". **Children seven years old and under must run with a parent or another responsible adult. TCS faculty are not able to take responsibility for young runners. Donations, sponsorship and registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. |
